TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. GENERAL CONDITIONS
- a) The company offers a full parts warranty for the period detailed on the front of this invoice, from the purchase date.
- b) The company will supply free of charge all components required to rectify any authorized claims, and reserves the right to supply used components in certain circumstances.
- c) All claims must be made to the company accompanied by this official receipt. Any repairs affected without the company’s written consent will be the responsibility of the customer. Any warranty work must be carried out by a repairer nominated by, or agreed to by the company.
- d) Warranty void if parts dismantled or tampered with. Items returned under warranty must be complete as sold.
- e) Incorrect goods or goods not required must be returned within 7 days for a full refund to be made. Returns made after 7 days will only be accepted at the company’s discretion.
- f) The company cannot accept returns on specially ordered parts or cut body sections.
- g) The company will not be responsible for any consequential loss or damage, loss of income, or demurrage/downtime because of the failure of the part sold
- h) IMPORTANT: Warranty ineffectual if exchange units and warranty card not returned within 14 days.
2. MAJOR MECHANICAL ITEMS ENGINES, GEARBOX, DIFFERENTIALS
- a) Labour cost will not be met unless prior arrangements have been made with the company.
- b) Engines are sold as long bare. Accessories and manifolds, if fitted, are not covered by warranty and are not guaranteed to be correct for your model. Closely examine them before installation and swap parts from your original engine where necessary.
- c) Warranty on Engines, Transmissions, Diffs, Driveline, are void if vehicle is fitted with a different motor to standard.
- d) Oil Leaks are not covered by the warranty.
- e) The 201 Days warranty on engines is conditional that strict guidelines are carried out at the times of fitting.These guidelines are as follows:
- New thermostat fitted and radiator cleaned out or replaced as necessary.
- New engine oil and oil filter added to engine.
- Coolant/anti-corrosion added to cooling system.
- All heater hoses and radiator hoses checked and replaced as necessary.
- All previous corrosion inhibitor MUST be completely flushed out of cooling system. Also, new corrosion inhibitor MUST be added to cooling system at time of fitting.
- f) A heat tab is fitted by the Company to the cylinder head of the engine. If the engine is overheated to a temperature of 123 degrees Celsius, either the centre of the heat tab itself will fall out or the entire heat tab itself will fall off the cylinder head. If either of these events occur the warranty is VOIDED and the consequent lack of performance of the engine is no responsibility of the company.
- g) Engine oil must be changed every 5000km, and documentation of such MUST be produced at the time of any warranty claim.
- h) The company will not recognize any warranty claim where any failure of defect is caused by:
- Insufficient or incorrect oil and/or lubricants.
- Overheating and/or heat tab missing.
- Misuse, overloading, accidents or negligence.
- Failure to carry out proper maintenance.
- Unauthorized repairs, alterations and dismantling.
- Improper application or installation.
NOTE: In the event of any preliminary signs of malfunction, it is the customer’s responsibility to cease operation and to report the problem to the warranty officer at the company. Failure to comply with this condition may result in more serious consequential damage and void any warranty entitlement.
3. MAKING A CLAIM FOR MECHANINCAL ITEMS
- a) In the event of any claim being declined, the company reserves the right to recover out-of-pocket expenses incurred in transporting, dismantling and inspections, such costs to be reimbursed by the customer prior to redelivery of the unit.
- b) In the event of any dispute, a mutually acceptable third party opinion is to be obtained to adjudicate on claims. Resolution of dispute procedure is available from your Sales Representative.
- c) The company cannot be held responsible for any implied or verbal representations.
- d) Repair Authorisation must be obtained from the company prior to commencement of any repairs. No claim will be recognized without repair authorization. Contact your Sales Representative for Repair Authorization.
4. PANEL CONDITIONS CODE
The company adopts the following panel code conditions to ensure guaranteed reliable quality.
Condition Code A: The panel is almost perfect. No visible signs of damage or rust on the interior/exterior. The paintwork is in good order. The glass and fittings, where applicable, are scratch free. All mechanical and electrical fittings e.g. regulator, regulator motor would be tested and proven O.K.
Condition Code B: The panel has no structural damage. It is straight and would fit the intended vehicle correctly. All fittings and “mechanicals” are in good working order. Imperfections can be corrected and can easily be described on the phone. The panel is in a condition to be repaired cost effectively.
Condition Code C: The only C grade panel stocked are either difficult to source or are very popular. The panels cannot be described accurately over the phone and should be scrutinized on the premises. Panels only to be sent out on request and a price negotiated once the Client has inspected the panel.
